Over the past 10 years, Tacoma YFC has taken almost 2000 young people and leaders to summer camp. More than a week of fun and adventure, camp is typically a week full of miracles. Every year we see wounds healed, lives transformed, and hearts say “YES” to Jesus.
This year we’re again bringing teens from across Pierce County – young people from Hilltop and Tillicum, football players from Lincoln High School, middle schoolers from University Place and Parkland, teen mothers, and girls escaping from sex trafficking. We want them all to have the best week ever, and to begin a relationship with Jesus.
So why are we sharing this with? For two reasons. One is that the majority of the young people we bring to camp don’t have the means to go financially. To help young people attend who would never have this opportunity otherwise, I’m asking for your help. We’ve written the numbers 1-200 on envelopes and randomly distributed them amongst our team. Our aim is to fill each envelope with a monetary gift equal to the number written on the envelope.
