Tacoma Youth For Christ has an open position within our growing organization. We are hiring a Site Leader to lead our Mt. Tahoma High School ministry site beginning in March 2019.

About Tacoma Youth For Christ:

In 1944 Billy Graham and Torrey Johnson held a Youth for Christ rally in Chicago. The ministry of YFC spread like wildfire across the US. As YFC was forming into an international organization, Tacoma was one of the founding chapters. The founding motto of YFC is as true to today as it was when it was coined, "Anchored to the Rock and geared to the times." YFC has never veered from its commitment to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to lost and hurting young people.

About the Site Leader Position:

The Site Leader will be the primary person responsible for leading a designated ministry site. Their duties include: regularly meeting new young people, planning and executing weekly gatherings for youth to attend, and mobilizing the team of volunteers at the ministry site to see effective and fruitful ministry.

The perfect candidate will view this as an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people by introducing them to the person of Jesus. They must be passionate about their faith, willing to work as part of a team and excited about an opportunity to grow in their faith and leadership.

Qualifications - The Site Leader must:

-       Have a growing relationship with Jesus Christ

-       Love working with young people aged 11-19, specifically have a heart that breaks for those

        who don’t know Jesus

-       Articulate a calling to ministry and specifically outreach

-       Enjoy building and leading a team of volunteers

-       Agree to YFC statement of faith

-       Abide by YFC standards of conduct

-       Provide references who will speak to the applicant’s character, integrity, and maturity

-       Hold a high school degree or equivalent

-       Hold a valid driver’s license and appropriate insurance

Ministry Site Location - Site Leader will lead a Campus Life club at Mt. Tahoma High School

 

Time Commitment:

As a part-time position, the site leader must be willing to be flexible with their schedule. This may include working some during days, evenings and some weekend commitments. Time will be spent in direct ministry with youth, planning with adults, and training with other site leaders.

Pay:

10 hours per week, $15 per hour
